Church Street Park

A popular route and gateway to Chapel Street, the park on Church Street, South Yarra, has undergone a face-lift. The area has long been a popular destination for shopping and dining and historically was also home to bootmakers, carpenters, bricklayers and blacksmiths.

In keeping with the beautiful heritage-listed streetlights, five permanent lighting installations that produce a glowing silhouette of the existing streetlights have been commissioned. The installation is made up of COR-TEN steel with perforations, designed by Pierre Le Roux, and illuminated by Maxis C luminaires with amber LED colour.
